Thanks Everyone!

I'd like to take this time to post my thanks and appreciation for viewing my blog. I never knew I was gonna be such a hit. It's you, my audience, that are the real heros. My life has not been full of exciting things to post. I do not write debateable posts or really anything worth the precious time God gave you, but you still come to my site, seeking meaning to life and answers, and maybe some humor. I do what I can to raise the quality of life for the common man..and woman.

My blog has almost reached a milestone in blog history. I'm am approaching the 20,000 visits mark, and I have only had the counter for about a month. Somewhere out there must be thousands of strangers who don't know me, but make it a priority for me to be a part of their daily routine. If you are one of those incredible strangers, then please feel free to comment with a word or two....kind words only...please......if a negative word is typed, then i will imagine you being severely wounded from a rabid cat....trust me, you dont' want that...

ok..here is another Ode to La Gato.
here is pokey. pokey was a wonderful pet...a pure joy. but don't be fooled by the name....he was quite the rambunctious character when the mood hit him. His favorite activity was to run and pounce on your back if you were working in the garden. sure it hurt, but you can't help but love it. he lasted for a good while. he died peacefully in his sleep on the porch...it was sad, cause i was petting him for a while before i realized he died.....i knew he was sick, but whatever sickness he had, it came fast and hard....i'm sad thinking about it.

here is pokey and another cat...we must not have kept the siamese long cause i dont' remember it...but he looked pretty cool.

When did Pokey die? Josue's truly regretful that he wasn't there to be a part of it...

Oh I miss the days of Pokey-beast. He used to lay sprawled out on his back- all fours spread out just absorbing the sunshine. He would also jump about 4 feet up and latch onto the back door so he could see through the window to know what was going on inside of the house. One smart cat. Sorry Adam that you pet him while he was dead. I don't think mom and dad ever told me that part of the death story. You should put some pictures of Calamity up after I accidently chopped her face and ear up in the attic fan--now THAT was a tragic story.

Sorry it seems that lots of pets, bicycles and car radios seem to be abruptly snatched from you. Did you remember how pokey got his name? You, kara, and sarah used to have "races" with sarah's kittens and pokey always lost. He really wasn't slow, he just loved to enjoy wherever he was at rather than rush through life- kind of like you.

i also forgot about that..the races were fun...he would stop and play with blades of grass instead of run to the finish

Brown Sugar exploiting little cats for his races...

are these cat races some type of underground illegal operation that has the potential for huge payouts??

I bet bella would like in on that. As long as you don't put glass doors in her way to smack into, and as long as she doesn't have to jump anything..ya know..cuz shes cross eyed and all.

I think the siamese cat was named "Mango" or "Mongo" or something like that. Both Pokey Beast and Calamity were male, I think. Was it Pokey or Calamity (or both) that was dug up by some animals (twice) after we buried it?

i know pokey was dug up.... found parts of him everywhere out back...stupid dogs or coyotes..i really don't remember how calamity died..but i think i remember finding fur..it's a rough world for cats.

just a smart alecky word from a non stranger, but you do know that "la" is feminine and that "la gato" should really not exist int he spanish language. It's either la gata for female cat or el gato for male. And by the by, my first cat was old and sick, but at least she had the decency to run away to die. Poor baby..I miss her so. Almost made it to 15 years old. but she was ordinary, no cool stories. Although my current kitty, Sugar does have a strange belly flap of skin and fur dangling under him. Is there such a thing as a kitty tummy tuck?

Ask Brown Sugar about my cat in Odessa, Caly. She's a calico cat that got HUGE then lost a ton of weight. You just see skin flapping from side to side. Kinda like Jared on the Subway commercials.
